If you are looking to grow in your faith and get connected at HOPE Church, then our Grow Groups are a great first step! Consider getting involved in at least one Grow Group! A Grow Group is either a Study or a Life Group (small group).
Our Studies are mid-sized community groups (8-35 people) that typically meet weekly. Think of a small church experience within a large church community. Each group is unique, but the core experience is the same – spiritual growth in the context of community. Highly relational, Biblical, and a great way to connect with other sojourners of the faith. Jump in at any time! Grow Groups meet at various times throughout the week.
Our Life Groups will be launching soon! Life Groups are a smaller group of people who gather regularly. Life Groups are designed to help people grow deeper in their faith, build Christ-focused friendships, and focus on being on mission with what God is doing in our community. If you are interested in joining a Life Group, please fill out the Life Group Form so we can help you find the best group. Click here to fill out the form.
Wednesday Night studies Fall 2019
More opportunities being added regularly so make sure to check back!
1 Corinthians (open to all adults): Christianity calls us to sacrifice instead of living for oneself. We have to choose one or the other—we can't do both. The Christians in Corinth tried to live the Christian life in a worldly way. Paul wrote the letter of 1 Corinthians to a divided and self-centered people to remind them to follow Jesus and only Jesus. In this 12-part series, author and speaker Jennie Allen walks into the messy lives of the Corinthians and takes us through Paul’s words to the conflicted church. We'll see how the truth of the gospel and the Spirit of God can empower us to choose to follow Jesus every day of our lives. Wednesday nights at 6:30pm in the Adult Ministry Center starting September 18th. Led by Pastor Keith.
Becoming a Fully Devoted Worshiper of God (open to all adults): There are many thoughts and ideas about worship. But just how are Christians supposed to worship God? In this HOPEgathering we will take a look at what Biblical worship and spiritual growth looks like according to Scripture. Wednesdays at 6:30pm starting September 18th. Led by HOPE’s Director of Worship, Jim Dostal.
Financial Peace University (open to all adults): This class consists of a nine-week video curriculum taught by financial expert Dave Ramsey. On Guard: Defending Your Faith with Reason and Precision (open to all adults): This concise video series is filled with illustrations, sidebars, and memorizable steps to help Christians stand their ground and defend their faith with reason and precision. In his engaging style, Dr. Craig offers four arguments for God's existence, defends the historicity of Jesus' personal claims and resurrection, addresses the problem of suffering, and shows why religious relativism doesn't work. Wednesday nights at 6:30pm in the Adult Ministry Center starting September 18th. Led by Chris Zygarlicke
Parenting (open to all adults): The Family Series consists of 10 sessions which look at the key issues facing families today. Drawing on their Christian faith and belief, co-hosts Karl Faase and Fiona Hall, together with their guests, discuss each of the topics and interacts with the studio audience in a Q&A. Topics include marriage, parenting, blended families, dealing with difficulty, health, conflict management plus more. Wednesday nights at 6:30pm in the Connection Center starting September 18th. The One Step Closer Workshop (open to all adults) is for the timid, the unsure, the willing but clueless, and anyone else who wants to learn how to be more effective at helping people move closer toward relationship with Jesus Christ. It is for you. Most of us want to help others know Jesus, but we don’t really know how. We don’t believe we can or will be effective. We don’t understand the importance. We are afraid. We will answer many questions related to “the whys and the whats.” We also help you be prepared for the hows! Wednesdays 6:45 starting September 18th. Led by Pastor Paul.
Sunday Morning studies Summer 2019
Book of Romans (open to all adults): The most important idea in the Bible is how a Holy God can get a sinful man into Heaven and not compromise who He is. Romans tell us just that! It sits as Master of the House before all of Paul's writings. It is the Bible in miniature. In our study in Romans we will look at Paul's unfolding logic and incisive reasoning as to the divinity and holiness of the Christian gospel. When this book has been understood reformation and new life follow shortly. Romans is set at just the perfect pace for any Christian who wants to understand the most central book in the Bible. Sunday mornings at 9am starting September 15th in the Adult Ministry Center. Led by Pastor Patrick and Gerald Muizelaar.
Book of Ephesians (open to all adults): Has it ever dawned on you that nothing has ever dawned on God? He knew before the world began that His people would face hardship, so He gave us His Word. The Book of Ephesians is a survival manual—it equips believers to thrive in a world that hates the message of Jesus Christ. Paul the Apostle writes to encourage believers to live well—we've been lifted from the graveyard of sin and called to shout the gospel into the darkened world. Pastor and author J.D. Greear walks through the powerful words of Paul. In 9 sessions, J.D. digs into the text of Ephesians verse-by-verse and challenges believers to live out the gospel. If the people of your city, of your school, of your family are going to hear the gospel, it's going to be from your mouth. Encounter Ephesians, and get swept up into the story of Jesus. Sunday mornings at 10:30am starting September 15th in the Adult Ministry Center. Led by Pastor Keith and Larry Vobr.
Growth Track (open to all adults): At HOPE we believe that a fully devoted follower of Christ will equally focus on four key areas for spiritual maturity: Worship, Grow, Give, Go. This four week series will focus on each area. Click on the link below for exact times and to register! We encourage everyone at HOPE to go through Growth Track!
